Renowned American rapper Snoop Dogg is once again diving into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with an exciting new initiative tied to his upcoming tour in the United States this July.
The initiative centers around the launch of “Passport” NFTs, a unique type of collectible resembling a poster that evolves alongside Snoop’s tour stops. Each NFT will showcase exclusive behind-the-scenes videos and images from every destination on the tour, providing fans with an immersive experience.
Furthermore, the Passport NFTs will grant holders access to future opportunities, including merchandise releases, artistic drops, and the highly anticipated “Snoop Selects” collection. The “Snoop Selects” series comprises artworks crafted by selected NFT artists and will be distributed for free to NFT holders.
The innovative technology behind the Snoop Dogg Passport NFTs has been brought to life through a collaboration with Transient Labs, an NFT development studio that empowers web3 creators, projects, and ecosystems.
Priced at 0.025 ETH, equivalent to $42, each Snoop Passport NFT can be purchased using either a credit card or a cryptocurrency wallet on the snooppassport.xyz platform.
This recent venture is not Snoop Dogg’s first foray into the Web3 world. In 2021, the artist joined the Boring Ape Yacht Club, acquiring a complete set. Additionally, in March 2022, Snoop Dogg collaborated with BossLogic to release the exclusive SUPERCUZZ NFT collection on the MakersPlace platform.
Building on his previous successes, Snoop Dogg continued his NFT journey in June 2022 by partnering with Food Fighters Universe to launch an NFT-themed dessert restaurant in Los Angeles. Later that year, in August 2022, Snoop Dogg and Eminem introduced their BAYC NFTs to the VMAs, captivating audiences with a performance within Yuga Labs’ innovative “Otherside” metaverse.
