The Nicklaus Companies and Hyperscapes Golf Club have joined forces to introduce a groundbreaking concept in the world of golf—a member-only metaverse golf experience.
With the expertise of Nicklaus Design, a leading golf course design company comprising eight renowned designers, and the cutting-edge terrain generation systems of Hyperscapes, the two companies will work on developing a virtual golf resort experience that faithfully replicates the real-life sport. Players can expect a challenging golf design, an 18-hole course, unique hole features, and breathtakingly realistic 3D scenery.
Access to this innovative golf club will be limited to Hyperscapes membership tokens, which will be released in a limited quantity of 300. Among these tokens, 30 will be reserved for Founding Members who played a significant role in shaping the club’s inception.
This collaboration marks the second foray into the Web3 world for The Nicklaus Companies. In December 2022, they partnered with Soul Machines to launch an NFT collection paying homage to the iconic golfer Jack Nicklaus.
It’s not the first time golf has been in the spotlight for a Web3-related initiative. Back in February, The PGA Tour and DraftKings partnered to launch an NFT-based fantasy golf game, allowing fans to collect digital cards and take part in contests. In March, Titleist, an American brand of golf equipment, submitted a trademark application to join the metaverse and NFT space.
