Animoca Brands Japan, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and a leading figure in digital entertainment, blockchain, and gamification, has announced a partnership with Honda Motor, the renowned automobile company. The collaboration aims to revolutionize the motorsports experience for fans by harnessing the power of blockchain technology.
The partnership will also involve Gryfyn, an NFT-centric multi-chain wallet launched by Animoca Brands and Hex Trust last March. Gryfyn will provide fans with a secure platform to access digital experiences and effectively manage their digital assets.
The main goal of this collaboration is to unlock a world of digital and interactive experiences through an engaging program tailored specifically for Honda fans. By taking part in this initiative, fans will have the opportunity to unlock exclusive digital and physical rewards.
The activation of this partnership commenced on June 30, 2023, at the highly anticipated Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. During this event, fans were invited to partake in an activation that allowed them to receive free Honda merchandise and gifts.
This is not Honda’s first venture into the Web3 space. The company was part of the inaugural NFT collection which included some of the most well-known cars from across the world, along with McLaren and Chevrolet.
Animoca Brands, known for its proactive involvement in the Web3 ecosystem, continues to push boundaries in this emerging field. Notably, the company recently introduced a dedicated NFT marketplace for its Mocaverse NFTs. The collection, consisting of 8,888 PFP NFTs, generated an impressive volume of over $5.6 million during its minting phase. Additionally, Animoca Brands made a strategic investment in Psychic VR Lab, a metaverse company specializing in the creation of virtual reality content.
