Animoca Brands has partnered with Hex Trust, a fully licensed and insured provider of custody for digital assets, to launch Gryfyn, an NFT-centric multi-chain wallet.
Gryfyn — which will be led by Arnoldo Concepción, co-COO of Animoca Brands — has already raised $7.5 million from investors, including Liberty City Ventures, GameFi Ventures, and others.
The solution will be focused on giving users a consistent Web3 experience that lets them interact simply and securely across different blockchains.
The wallet will be custodial, which means that the company will store the private keys, and users who lose access to their data can request it back.
The wallet currently supports over 70 networks, and more assets will be added on a regular basis, according to the official website, to provide users with the most efficient experience possible.
This is just one of several efforts Animoca Brands has taken in the Web3 space; last December, the company released its new NFT collection, Mocaverse, which earned a volume of over $5.6 million in just 48 hours during the mint phase.
In January, Animoca Brands invested in Psychic VR Lab, a metaverse startup specializing in developing virtual reality content, and in December, it purchased a majority stake in music metaverse platform Pixelynx.
