Magic Eden has announced the launch of a Bitcoin marketplace for digital artifacts.
The marketplace will be the first to be completely audited in the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem. Bitcoin Ordinals is a protocol that allows Bitcoin to generate NFTs within its network and directly store them on its blockchain.
Hiro and Xverse, two non-custodial wallets, will be available on the marketplace, allowing users to list, delist, purchase, and sell.
Magic Eden has announced that it would work with thirteen collections for the marketplace’s launch, including Taproot Wizards, Inscribed Pepes, and Bitcoin Bandits.
The newly created Bitcoin marketplace will enable users to view collection characteristics such as Ordinal rarity, age, name, inscription numbers, and so on.
Magic Eden has always been engaged in supporting the NFT community and improving experiences; last December, the Solana-based marketplace started rewarding users, enabling them to earn points as they buy or sell NFTs.
The marketplace revealed the integration with Polygon in November, shortly after announcing the shift to optional creator royalties.
