South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer Hyundai continues to adapt itself to the demands of new technologies and realities.
Following the announcement of Hyundai’s collaboration with NFT brand Meta Kongz, the launch of its own NFT collection, and the evolution of its “Shooting Star” NFTs into “MobED” NFTs, Hyundai has now filed a trademark application for “Metamobility,” the company’s key universe mobility concept.
According to the trademark application submitted to the USPTO on June 2nd, Hyundai aims to provide:
- NFTs and NFT-backed media;
- Issuing, trading + verifying NFTs;
- Image files with NFTs, avatars, virtual cars, and merchandise;
- And more.

The automotive sector has itself been deeply involved in the non-fungible token and metaverse worlds. Some renowned companies, such as Lamborghini, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Pininfarina, and more, have already launched their NFT and metaverse initiatives.
