Venture capital company Animoca Brands has deepened its ties with prominent crypto wallets to broaden the reach of its non-fungible token (NFT)-centered venture, Mocaverse.
The company recently announced collaborations with OKX Wallet, Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, and Halo Wallet, aiming to enhance accessibility to Mocaverse.
Users of these wallets can now claim their Moca IDs, which serve as on-chain decentralized identities (DIDs). With these IDs, users gain entry into the Mocaverse ecosystem, which encompasses over 450 Web3 projects.
Moca ID holders not only gain access to partner ecosystems and experiences but also earn Realm Points. These points can later be redeemed for exclusive real-life benefits and rewards provided by Mocaverse and Animoca Brands.
Mocaverse made its debut in 2022 with the release of 8,888 PFP NFTs. Within just 48 hours of their launch, these NFTs generated over $5.6 million in volume. Each Mocaverse NFT is designed with utilities falling into four realm categories: learn, play, build, and do good. These utilities include masterclasses, in-game assets, accelerator programs, and more.
In June 2023, Animoca Brands teamed up with Rarible to establish a dedicated marketplace for Mocaverse NFTs. A few months later, the company secured $20 million in funding, led by CMCC Global, to bolster the Mocaverse NFT project.
One of Animoca Brands’ recent initiatives involved partnering with Ubisoft in November 2023 to advance Mocaverse’s Web3 gaming endeavors. Now, the collaboration with the aforementioned wallets aims to further expand the user base and ecosystem of Mocaverse.
