Creative agency CULT has teamed up with leading metaverse platforms Roblox, Decentraland, and Spatial to launch the world’s first Metaverse Beauty Week.
Following the success of Metaverse Fashion Week, which took place for the second time earlier this year, CULT aims to celebrate beauty in all its diverse forms within the virtual worlds.
This inaugural annual beauty festival in the metaverse will feature participation from renowned beauty brands such as LUSH, Cosnova, Valdé Beauty, Neutrogena, and many others.
Starting today, June 12, 2023, and running through Friday, June 17, 2023, the virtual event offers a wide range of activities. Participants can engage in mini-games, attend parties, explore beauty showcases, meet and interact with beauty influencers, and take part in masterclasses, among other experiences.
Moreover, visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to collect virtual wearables, adding an extra layer of fun to their virtual journey.
The beauty industry is taking advantage of the potential of Web3, leveraging its capabilities to enhance the shopping experience, provide entertainment, and showcase new products. Two prominent examples of this trend include Coty and Clinique, who have recently ventured into the metaverse to engage with their audiences in innovative ways.
Coty made its foray into the metaverse in April by introducing “Coty Campus,” a virtual space designed to foster collaboration and provide training opportunities for its global workforce.
Similarly, in March, Clinique unveiled “Clinique Lab,” an immersive metaverse experience that offers customers the chance to delve into the brand’s rich heritage and explore its iconic product lineup.
