Dubai is one of the world’s most notable cities that has demonstrated a noteworthy interest in and support for Web3.
Its next event, the Dubai Metaverse Forum, which will be held on September 28 and 29, in Dubai’s Museum of the Future and District 2071, is clear evidence of this involvement.
Through workshops, the event will seek to uncover the opportunities and potentials of the metaverse as well as ways to use it to enhance both real and virtual worlds.
The event will feature major participation from international institutions, organizations, and global technology corporations such as the World Economic Forum, Meta, Mastercard, Accenture, and Tayaran.
More than 300 global experts, leaders and policymakers, and over 40 specialized international institutions will attend the Dubai Metaverse Forum.
This event is undoubtedly a natural outcome of Dubai’s initiative to launch a Metaverse Strategy, which is expected to generate $500 million in revenue for the national economy and create 40,000 new jobs in the virtual world.
Other Dubai-based Web3 initiatives include:
- Dubai’s Museum of the Future announcing a partnership with Binance NFT marketplace for the release of its first NFT collection, “The Most Beautiful NFTs in the Metaverse.”
- Dubai Police announcing its second NFT collection, which will be unveiled during GITEX 2022.
- Dubai Racing Club announcing the release of an NFT collection that will debut in the upcoming racing season at the Meydan racecourse.
