Pinkfong, a South Korean company, has signed a license agreement to have its flagship Baby Shark IP featured on the Toekenz Collectibles NFT platform, a platform solely dedicated to children.
As a result of the collaboration, Toekenz Collectibles will develop and release a blockchain-based Baby Shark game for kids. The brand’s characters will also be accessible as digital collectibles that players can customize and share with other users.
“Baby Shark” went viral on social media in 2016, when Pinkfong released a version of the song with a YouTube music video.
According to Wikipedia, the song has received over 11 billion views globally, over 37 million likes, and 176 million monthly views since its release, making it the most-viewed video on YouTube.
Toekenz Collectibles seeks to become the first and premier blockchain platform for children. To that purpose, it will soon integrate user-friendly games with Play-to-Collect and Learn-to-Earn features.
The partnership with Pinkfong is surely a great addition to the platform and will contribute to its popularity, but it is not Toekenz’s first. It also collaborated with Mattel in October to release NFTs portraying some of Mattel’s most well-known brands and characters.
