Mattel continues its adventure in Web3, attempting to reawaken some of its most popular and iconic characters and immortalize them on the blockchain.
This time, the American multinational toy company has teamed up with Toekenz Collectibles, a family-focused and child-safe platform for blockchain-based gaming, collectibles, and community.
As a result of the agreement, Toekenz Collectibles will release NFTs depicting some of Mattel’s most recognizable brands and characters.
Toekenz’s goal is to become the premier and first blockchain platform for children. The platform will soon include user-friendly games with Play-to-Collect and Learn-to-Earn features.
Mattel envisions Toekenz’s purpose and vision, as well as the Web3 worldview. This is shown by the fact that Mattel has recently made many headlines in the space. It recently teamed with NFT-native toy platform Cryptoys to offer an NFT collection for its Masters of the Universe (MOTU) and NFT project Boss Beauties to release an NFT collection honoring all 250 of Barbie’s diverse careers.
