Immutable, a key player in the Web3 gaming industry, has announced a partnership with e-commerce giant Amazon, with the aim of leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the widespread adoption of Web3 gaming.
The core objective of this collaboration is to establish a robust framework for validating cloud data on the Ethereum blockchain. This initiative holds the potential to create a sustainable model for blockchain-based gaming — empowering developers and gamers alike.
A key aspect of this partnership is Immutable’s participation in Amazon’s ISV Accelerate Program. This program is specifically designed for companies that provide software solutions intended to run on AWS or seamlessly integrate with it. This affiliation provides Immutable with access to an array of expert resources supplied by AWS — bolstering its ability to secure clients and establish deals with major game studios worldwide.
Immutable has also been granted the capability to offer AWS cloud credits to game studios through AWS Activate, an innovative startup program. This financial incentive — amounting to up to $100,000 to offset cloud service expenses — is a boon for developers aiming to create top-notch games.
AWS will also support Immutable in expanding and advancing its product offerings — such as Immutable zkEVM. This technology, designed with Ethereum compatibility in mind, aims to enable more developers to engage in Web3 game development, avoiding the need to master a new programming language.
The partnership with Amazon strengthens Immutable’s ongoing efforts to revolutionize the gaming industry. In 2022, Immutable collaborated with GameStop, supporting the launch and operativity of GameStop’s NFT marketplace. Towards the end of 2022, Metaverse Game Studios also revealed plans to harness the potential of ImmutableX for the creation of their AAA Web3 title, Angelic.
