The Kraken Rear Wing Takeover contest has advanced to the next stage by revealing the 20 finalists. These participants had a shot at getting their non-fungible token (NFT) artworks showcased on cars during the upcoming 2023 US Grand Prix.
Fans can now vote for their favorite pieces from these finalists by liking and reposting them on X (formerly Twitter).
Out of the 20, only four artworks will be chosen to be displayed on the cars in Austin. Voting will continue until Thursday, August 31.
The four pieces with the highest combined likes and reposts will earn a place on the Williams Racing cars at the Circuit of the Americas.
Additionally, Williams Racing drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will personally select two more winners, and the results will be announced on September 8.
This unique contest emerged from a partnership between Williams Racing and Kraken, announced at the beginning of the month and aimed at blending Formula 1 racing with NFTs.
Since March of this year, Kraken has been offering its crypto and blockchain expertise to the Williams Formula One team as part of their sponsorship agreement.
In addition to this partnership, Kraken has also ventured into the realm of NFTs independently. In June, Kraken NFT completed its beta testing phase with success and unveiled its official launch. The launch included the integration of Polygon and the introduction of a diverse array of more than 250 NFT collections.
