Dairy Queen, the 1940-founded American fast-food chain, has collaborated with the non-fungible token project Weirdo Ghost Gang (WGG) to introduce NFT-themed merchandise at its Chengdu, China store.
The collaborative effort, named “Feel the Winter Fun,” will unveil a range of co-branded items, including WGG-themed hats and bags, alongside a special Dairy Queen-WGG-themed ice cream.
WGG NFT holders will gain exclusive advantages, such as discounts applicable at Dairy Queen stores.
Established in 2022, WGG comprises 5,555 NFTs featuring cartoon ghosts in diverse outfits and scenarios. For the collection, OpenSea data indicates a total volume of 21.514 ETH (over $42 million) and a floor price of 0.535 ETH (around $1,000).
This marks WGG’s second partnership with a restaurant; last month, it collaborated with Papa Johns, offering WGG-themed food products and granting NFT holders complimentary items.
Many eateries are increasingly adopting Web3 technologies to enhance customer experiences. Williamsburg Pizza, for instance, launched a Web3 loyalty program last month, allowing customers to earn rewards through NFT membership and accumulate points for exclusive benefits.
