Scents of Wood, a fragrance company launched in the United States and Canada in September 2020, is introducing the world’s first fragrance subscription available solely through the purchase of an NFT.
With the release of the NFTs, holders will actively engage in the company’s manufacturing process. For instance, customers will be asked to choose the perfumer they would want to see create the upcoming fragrance and presumably choose the scent they want to get.
Publix Super Markets, Inc., commonly known as Publix, an employee-owned American supermarket chain, has filed trademark applications for its name, logo, and “where shopping is a pleasure” slogan to enter the metaverse and embrace NFTs.
According to the applications, submitted to the USPTO on August 23, the company plans to offer: NFTs; Virtual food, beverages, grocery items, and more; retail store featuring virtual goods; virtual restaurants, and cafés.
Meta is making headway toward the metaverse and the realm of NFTs. In a recent blog post, Meta announced the release of a feature that allows Facebook and Instagram users to post digital collectibles they own.
In other words, users can now connect their digital wallets to both apps once to share their digital collectibles.
As a result, much as they would with photos, users can now share their NFT works or holdings, tag the creator and collector, and let others interact with them by liking, commenting, and sharing.
The American rapper and singer Doja Cat has joined forces with American audio equipment company JBL to launch a new NFT initiative: Fresh Fruit by Doja Cat x JBL NFT.
Developed in collaboration with OneOf, the collection features 3D fruit-themed JBL headphones artfully conceptualized by Doja Cat.
Five drops of Fresh Fruit NFT will flow throughout August and September, leading up to the chance to attend JBL Fest 2022 in Las Vegas from September 27-29.
