American rapper, singer, and songwriter Armani White is gearing up to venture into the metaverse with a live performance.
The virtual concert will take place within VRROOM, a metaverse XR platform dedicated entirely to entertainment, culture, and live performances.
The event is set to occur on November 6 at 8 pm EST, within Armani White’s personalized virtual space, “Blancoverse.”
Attendees can experience the concert using VR headsets like Meta Quest or Pico VR, as well as through their mobile and desktop devices.
The concert will be free to attend, and fans can already reserve their spot through the VRROOM website.
Armani White gained recognition for his hit single “Billie Eilish,” reaching number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 2022, and currently boasts over 5.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Armani White’s metaverse concert continues the trend of artists venturing into the metaverse to provide immersive experiences, a response to the challenges faced by many industries, including the music sector, during the COVID-19 pandemic when in-person events became unfeasible.
Notably, in December 2021, celebrity Paris Hilton launched a virtual island, “Paris World,” in the metaverse, featuring live virtual performances on Roblox. David Guetta followed suit with a virtual DJ party on Roblox a few months later.
