Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange and bank based in the United States, has announced the public beta launch of Kraken NFT, a marketplace for trading NFTs securely.
The marketplace will debut with 110 of the most popular NFT collections, including Anthony Hopkins – The Eternal, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Boss Beauties, and Cool Cats NFT, with more to be added on a regular basis.
Kraken NFT has zero gas fees, allowing users to purchase and trade NFTs without cluttering the underlying blockchain network and incurring high network gas fees.
The marketplace also supports creators by returning a portion of the value of eligible NFTs to them.
Users can trade NFTs in eight fiat currencies and more than 200 cryptocurrencies, and there is also a rarity ranking that allows them to pick NFTs based on their unique mix of attributes and compare them to other available ones.
Kraken NFT now supports the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, with other blockchains expected to be added soon.
Kraken is one of the world’s oldest digital asset marketplaces, backed by investors such as Tribe Capital, SkyBridge, and Hummingbird Ventures. Its plans to launch an NFT marketplace date back to 2021, with Kraken Executive Director Jonathan Miller expressing optimism even during a bear market.
