The long-awaited Game of Thrones NFT collection, created by Nifty’s, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Daz 3D, is set to be released in January of next year.
Each NFT in the collection features characters, locations, weapons, and more from Game of Thrones, allowing fans to create their own realms and empower their avatars.
The first series drop, dubbed Hero Box, features 3,450 Hero Boxes for pre-sale on January 10, 8 am PT, and 1,500 for public sale on January 10, 12 pm PT.
Each Hero Box includes an Ethereum-based avatar of one of the following characters: White Walkers, Commoners, Nobles, Man-at-Arms, Maesters, Free Folk, or The Night’s Watch.
Also included in each box are resource cards needed to enter the realm and story cards featuring iconic scenes, characters, and locations. NFT cards will be minted on the Palm blockchain, a new token-powered ecosystem for NFTs that is linked to Ethereum and has low transaction fees.
The Game of Thrones NFTs will be available for purchase on Nifty’s NFT marketplace and can be purchased using a credit or debit card, as well as cryptocurrency.
Buyers can choose whether to open the box and view the avatar and cards or to keep it unopened and sell it on Nifty’s secondary marketplace, OpenSea, and other Ethereum NFT marketplaces.
