Fashion brand Diesel has announced a collaboration with NFT project HAPE to release a one-of-a-kind NFT collection.
The collection, co-created by Diesel creative director Glenn Martens and Hape founder and developer Matt Sypien (@DigimentalLDN), will comprise digital collectibles that will provide real and digital value to both fashion and Web3 lovers.
A limited edition of the iconic 1DR POD crossbody bag, as well as access to exclusive events and community benefits, will be among the rewards.
At the time, little information about the collection has been provided, with more details expected to be disclosed on the dedicated website in early 2023.
“Technology is an important factor for the new generations in defining their personality and their way of interacting. We want to make fashion more open and innovative,” said Stefano Rosso, CEO of BVX OTB group.
With this partnership, Diesel joins the growing number of fashion brands that are embracing Web3 in order to modernize the industry and make it more sustainable and accessible.
As part of the fashion Web3 revolution, users will be able to outfit their avatars with digital garments or use AR technology to express themselves on social media, allowing them to define their identities and personalities also on the internet.
Web3 fashion is a trend that is predicted to expand and gain traction; according to a recent Chalhoub Group analysis, metaverse fashion and luxury shopping will be worth $50 billion by 2030.
