Champion, the famous clothing brand specializing in sportswear, has filed trademark applications for its name and logo, indicating plans to enter the metaverse and sell branded NFTs.
According to the trademark application, the company intends to create and sell virtual goods such as clothing, eyewear, sports bags, and other items, to be used in online virtual worlds.
Additionally, the company plans to create a virtual environment that will allow users to search for, find, buy, and sell digital goods.
The news was announced earlier today via Twitter by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

Yesterday, clothing brand Perry Ellis filed trademark applications for PERRY ELLIS and PERRY ELLIS AMERICA, indicating its plans to enter the digital world.
Hugo Boss recently applied for a trademark titled “BOSS” to enter the metaverse with virtual goods like clothing, watches, jewelry, and shoes.
Victoria’s Secret, too, announced its intention to enter the metaverse with virtual lingerie last month.
