Yuga Labs has unveiled the Second Trip for its Otherside metaverse project.
This second stage of the trip will engage participants in an interactive game experience, with Otherdeeds NFT holders able to invite a guest this time.
The Second Trip will take place on March 25, 2023, and voyagers who attend will be able to acquire the FIRST TRIP Obelisk Piece, with more details to come.
Yuga Labs is also extending the list of playable regions from First Trip, allowing people around the world to take part in the event.
The First Trip — a tech demo of the Otherside metaverse — took place in July 2022, engaging over 4,300 players in an interactive experience that allowed them to explore the virtual world by touring, dancing, and learning basic moving dynamics.
The Otherside metaverse — which debuted last year — is a 3D virtual environment based on the BAYC project. Its Voyager’s Journey is a story-driven adventure game centered on a mysterious Obelisk that has appeared in the Otherside universe.
This is just one of the several efforts that Yuga Labs has developed in the last few years; for example, the company recently ended its TwelveFold NFT auction with over $16 million collected.
Other initiatives include the donation of CryptoPunk #110 NFT to the Centre Pompidou as part of Yuga Labs’ Punks Legacy Project and the introduction of Dookey Dash, a skill-based mint game, and the Sewer Pass NFT mint.
