Starbucks continues to embrace the Web3 revolution with the launch of a new initiative as part of its Web3 program Odyssey.
This time, the company is set to introduce a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its iconic autumnal coffee drink — the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Dubbed “The PSL Collection,” the series consists of four unique NFT designs, each capturing the essence of the Pumpkin Spice Latte drink in its various forms — steamed, spiced, whipped, and iced.
These NFTs are minted on the Polygon blockchain and are made available at $20 apiece. Buyers have the opportunity to acquire up to four of these limited-edition tokens.
Starbucks has also hinted at a surprise for those who acquire all four designs, although the nature of this reward remains undisclosed at this time.
Each NFT purchase also comes with an added bonus. Buyers will receive 250 Starbucks reward points, which can be used to enhance their Starbucks Odyssey program experience.
The Starbucks PSL Collection is slated for release on October 5, 2023, exclusively on the Nifty Gateway NFT marketplace.
This release follows Starbucks’ previous NFT drop in July, when the company introduced the “Green Apron” NFT series, paying tribute to the baristas who have served the brand faithfully for over 50 years.
Earlier in the year, in April, Starbucks unveiled “The First Store,” the second NFT collection under its Starbucks Odyssey initiative. Additionally, Starbucks partnered with Aku to unveil a new series of NFT Stamps during the same month.
