Prada is showing no signs of slowing down in its exploration of Web3 technologies and its innovative Timecapsule NFT project. The renowned fashion brand is gearing up for its 42nd drop, set to take place in June.
For this particular drop, Prada is offering the third and final installment of its unisex tank tops, which draw inspiration from the style of basketball jerseys. These trendy tanks are crafted from cotton and feature a captivating floral print reminiscent of tropical landscapes.
The 42nd NFT drop is scheduled for June 1st at 3 pm CEST and will consist of a limited edition physical product accompanied by a gifted NFT.
Prada initially launched its Timecapsule project back in 2019, with the objective of releasing exclusive bowling shirts and sweaters on the first Thursday of every month, available for only 24 hours. In 2022, the brand took a bold step forward by integrating NFTs into the project, bridging the gap between the virtual and real worlds.
Since then, Prada has remained committed to its vision, delivering new fashion garments on a monthly basis in collaboration with prominent figures, each accompanied by their own unique NFT artworks.
In January, Prada teamed up with artist Enzo Ragazzini for a striking shirt design as part of the project. December 2022 saw the 36th NFT drop, featuring a luxurious Merino wool sweater and a digital collectible with a festive Christmas theme.
Prada is not alone in embracing the potential of Web3 in the fashion industry. In recent weeks, Zara unveiled its “Fairy Magic Idols” collection, a metaverse fashion line released on the Zepeto platform. Similarly, H&M is celebrating the upcoming launch of its summer collection inspired by Stranger Things with an immersive metaverse experience.
