Zara, the popular fashion label, is expanding its presence in the metaverse by announcing the release of a new virtual fashion collection.
The collection, dubbed “Fairy Magic Idols,” draws inspiration from the vibrant spring season and features enchanting attire adorned with flowers and denim.
Comprising 14 distinct pieces, the collection includes a range of fashionable virtual items such as jeans, tops, glasses, accessories, and shoes.
The development and release of this collection were made possible through a collaboration with Zepeto, a South Korean mobile chat app that allows users to create and interact with 3D avatars in various virtual worlds. Zara’s “Fairy Magic Idols” collection will be exclusively available on the app.
In conjunction with the collection launch, Zara has also announced an exciting contest. Participants are encouraged to dress their avatars in the new Fairy Magic Idols collection, visit the dedicated virtual booth on Zepeto, take a photo, and share it on their feed.
The contest, which began recently, will continue until May 17, with the winners being announced on May 24. Prizes include 50 ZEMs (virtual goods for purchasing items in Zepeto) for three lucky winners and 20,000 coins for 20 additional winners.
Zara has been exploring the metaverse for quite some time now. Back in September 2022, the fashion company made its initial foray into the metaverse with Y2C Creatures, a phygital collection. In March 2023, Zara partnered once again with Zepeto to launch a limited-edition capsule collection known as “Lime Glam.” With each new virtual collection, Zara continues to demonstrate its commitment to exploring and engaging with the metaverse in innovative ways.
