H&M is once again pushing the boundaries of innovation with its latest Web3 initiative, celebrating the upcoming release of its summer collection inspired by Stranger Things.
The fashion retailer has partnered with Roblox to create an immersive virtual experience within Loooptopia, a metaverse sponsored by H&M. The highlight of this experience is the Surfer Boy Pizza Delivery game.
Drawing inspiration from the popular “Surfer Boy Pizza” restaurant in Season 4 of Stranger Things, the game will be available to play on Roblox starting May 25, 2023.
Players will have the chance to engage in a thrilling delivery game and earn exclusive Stranger Things clothing as rewards. Each level will present multiple delivery challenges, progressively increasing in difficulty with limited time to complete each mission.
The Stranger Things-inspired summer collection showcases retro prints influenced by the iconic styles of the 80s and 90s, featuring graphic t-shirts, varsity-style jerseys, and effortless surfer-inspired sets. This 24-piece capsule collection will be accessible for purchase both in physical stores and online.
By launching this exciting initiative, H&M joins the ranks of fashion brands embracing Web3 technology and venturing into new realms of fashion innovation. The brand embarked on its Web3 journey in early 2022 with the introduction of its first phygital collection. Collaborating with the Institute of Digital Fashion and powered by Snap, H&M introduced five Augmented Reality (AR) filters.
In January 2023, H&M made its mark on the Roblox metaverse with the debut of the “Loooptopia Experience.” This endeavor aimed to promote fashion in the digital world, allowing visitors to engage in gameplay and design virtual clothing and outfits for their avatars.
