Nike’s virtual lab, .Swoosh, has unveiled its first-ever real-world sneaker exclusively for non-fungible token (NFT) holders of its first drop.
The outcome of the launch is a customized Air Force 1 Low model, dubbed “TINAJ.”
Designed by the .Swoosh team, the new sneaker boasts several distinctive features — including a .Swoosh lace lock, black leather, web-referential blue accents, and a signature .Swoosh graphic placed on the inside of the tongue label.
Access to these limited-edition TINAJ sneakers will be granted solely to Our Force 1 (OF1) NFT holders, who have opened at least one OF1 Box.
TINAJ sneakers will drop on October 20, 2023, and will be available for purchase through Nike’s SNKRS app at a retail price of $120.
This release marks the debut of Nike’s .Swoosh lab into the physical fashion world.
Initially unveiled in November 2022, the lab’s mission is to serve as a digital platform, offering users a space to discover virtual apparel while fostering a social community for fans and creators.
In January 2023, .Swoosh kicked off its first design contest, providing aspiring designers with a chance to earn cash prizes and see their creations transformed into virtual fashion pieces.
In April, Nike introduced its first NFT airdrop, the “OF1 Poster” collection, which comprised four unique virtual posters designed to commemorate participants in the first .Swoosh contest.
