STEPN, the popular Web3 move-to-earn lifestyle app, has unveiled an expansive airdrop initiative, slated to airdrop 100 million FSL Points, valued at $30 million, among its user base.
As stated in a press release dated April 10, the airdrop aims to commemorate an upcoming, soon-to-be-announced partnership with a globally recognized sports brand, and the recent rollout of the FSL ID by STEPN, aimed at rewarding users.
These FSL Points allow users access to upcoming STEPN mints, enabling them to secure exclusive rewards. FSL Points are also exchangeable 1:1 for GMT via the STEPN marketplace.
Recipients of the airdrop have until April 29 to claim their rewards, subject to specific conditions. Claiming requires users to register for an FSL ID.
“We have decided to launch this huge airdrop campaign as a token of gratitude to our most loyal community members, providing them with priority access to our upcoming mints and other exclusive rewards.”
Shiti Manghani, CEO of STEPN by FSL
The airdrop was split into two segments. The first segment catered to Badge Holders, emblematic of STEPN’s core players, with FSL Points allocation based on their in-app accomplishments. The second segment, meant for Genesis Holders, was aimed at rewarding the most loyal holders, allocating FSL Points based on the duration of their Genesis Sneaker holdings.
This marks STEPN’s third significant airdrop since 2022. Initially launched in 2021 by FLS, STEPN aims to innovate fitness by rewarding users for their walking and running efforts. The application facilitates the acquisition and use of NFT sneakers to complete fitness missions, incentivizing users with GMTs.
According to the platform’s metrics, STEPN already boasts a user base exceeding 5 million registered individuals, with more than 460,000 monthly active users, and over 295 kilometers run using the app.
