1. Johnnie Walker Enters NFT Market with Token-gated Voting Experience
Johnnie Walker has teamed with the NFT marketplace BlockBar to make The Blue Label, one of its most prestigious blends, available as an NFT.
NFT holders will be able to exchange their NFT for the physical bottle as well as vote on the design of the limited edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label, which will be created by internationally renowned artist VANDYTHEPINK.
2. H&M Introduced its Innovation Metaverse Design Story Collection
H&M announced its foray into Web3 with its “H&M Innovation Metaverse Design Story” collection.
The collection focuses on three major themes: circular fashion, clothing rental, and the metaverse.
H&M will launch five Augmented Reality (AR) filters for the metaverse and digital world, created in collaboration with the Institute of Digital Fashion and powered by Snap, allowing shoppers to try on clothes from the new collection and express themselves both in person and online.
3. Mattel Launches NFT Marketplace and Unveils First Collection
Mattel debuted its NFT marketplace on Mattel Creations, an adult toy e-commerce and content site.
The marketplace, built on the fast and environmentally friendly Flow blockchain, will be inaugurated with the release of the first collection: Series 4 of the Hot Wheels NFT Garage. The NFTs feature some of the most well-known cars, such as McLaren, Chevrolet, and Honda.
4. Dior Beauty Gets Ready for Christmas with a Metaverse Store
Dior Beauty, the perfume and cosmetics branch of the French fashion house, has announced its newest metaverse endeavor.
In collaboration with metaverse company Emperia, the luxury brand will build a Christmas-themed virtual store.
The metaverse space is divided into three rooms: the scent room, the gift finder room, and the beauty room, each of which houses a large collection of classic scents and cosmetics.
5. Reebok Joins Adidas and Nike in the Metaverse and NFT Space
Rebook has filed two trademark applications for its name to enter the metaverse and NFT space.
The trademark applications involve virtual goods, NFTs, an online NFT marketplace, and retail store services that include virtual sports items.
