Dior Beauty, the French fashion house’s perfumes and cosmetics division, has unveiled its latest metaverse initiative.
The luxury brand will launch a Christmas-themed virtual store in collaboration with metaverse company Emperia.
The metaverse space is divided into three rooms: the scent room, the gift finder room, and the beauty room, each of which displays many iconic fragrances and cosmetics.
By visiting the fragrance room, which features Le Collection Prive, users will be able to personalize their scent according to their preferences.
Within the gift finder room, visitors can answer a series of questions to be provided with a list of gift products tailored specifically to their needs.
The beauty room showcases the newest Dior cosmetics products, as well as gifting customization and virtual try-ons. Here, consumers can use augmented reality (AR) technology to apply products, using a digital camera.
This virtual retail experience will allow Dior to get closer to customers and provide them with a unique and personalized shopping experience.
This is not the first time Emperia has collaborated with a major brand to improve the retail experience in the metaverse. It recently collaborated with Bloomingdale’s to develop a Christmas-themed virtual department store offering both shopping and entertainment experiences.
