Bloomingdale’s, a luxury department store brand founded in 1861 in the United States, has unveiled its second metaverse venture.
This time, the project entails the development of a Christmas-themed virtual department store in collaboration with Emperia, a leading company in metaverse retail and virtual experiences.
The virtual space will feature luxury and well-known brands such as Chanel and Ralph Lauren.
Other non-fashion brands, such as Nespresso with its Parisian Cafe, will also be a part of the experience.
There will also be a spa room, a party room, and a gifting experience.
Visitors will be able to visit any brand within the space by using an elevator.
This project builds on Bloomingdale’s Web3 adventure and partnership with Emperia. The first initiative began in September, during New York Fashion Week, with the launch of a virtual store. The shop was created to celebrate Bloomingdale’s 150th anniversary, and it included unique collections from companies including Polo Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, David Yurman, MCM, Byredo, Baccarat, and many more.
