Lamborghini has partnered with VeVe — a platform for buying and selling licensed digital collectibles — to make some of its most popular sports cars available as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The Lamborghini Huracán STO will be the first sports car to be part of the first series drop, and it will be available in four distinct colors — white, grey, red, and green — as well as four different degrees of rarity: Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, and Secret Rare.
Upon purchasing, collectors will be able to showcase their NFTs in the VeVe app’s virtual showrooms as epic 3D dioramas, interact with the collection through augmented reality (AR) photos, or also share them via social media.
The Lamborghini digital collectibles will be accessible on the VeVe platform on Sunday, February 19 at 8 a.m. PT.
This collaboration is a significant step forward in Lamborghini’s Web3 journey. The Italian maker of luxury sports cars has made its first debut with “Space Time Memory,” its first NFT project, consisting of five visuals depicting a Lamborghini Ultimae soaring toward the stars to commemorate human space exploration.
Following that, Lamborghini auctioned off its final Aventador Ultimae, together with a special 1:1 NFT, in April of last year.
Last August, the company announced its third, 8-month-long NFT effort in partnership with NFT PRO and INVNT.ATOM.
