Vogue Singapore unveiled a new metaverse initiative to celebrate the season of love with a series of events dubbed “From Blockchain to Love Chain.”
The events will be held in two virtual places — “Club Vogue Singapore” and “Fashion’s New World” — hosted in the Spatial metaverse.
The activities will explore the concept of connection in the virtual world, and will include the release of NFTs, panel talks, and artistic interpretations of modern love through artworks.
The NFTs — tightly linked to the metaverse experience — are the outcome of a partnership with the Web3 community 8sian. Each NFT, named Love Chain, features one of two different designs, dubbed “Dream” and “Desire”.
But, the NFTs — which cost 0.022 ETH each — also have benefits in the virtual world; a system called “Love Meter” will track accomplishments achieved by completing daily tasks (such as treasure hunts or quizzes) within the metaverse spaces.
The points will then be divided into three tiers, each of which will grant access to a different reward — including digital wearables from DressX, an exclusive NFT by 8sian, or even an annual membership to Vogue Singapore’s digital edition.
Vogue initially joined the NFT world in 2021, when it released two digital-only cover NFTs — “Triumphant Awakening” and “The Renaixance Rising” — in collaboration with local and international designers.
