Housing Bank, the leading financial institution headquartered in Jordan, has ventured into the metaverse, marking a historic milestone as the first bank within the kingdom to embrace virtual reality.
In celebration of its 50th anniversary since its foundation, Housing Bank has unveiled a virtual immersive experience, accessible via both the Decentraland and Spatial metaverse platforms.
The virtual experience promises customers and visitors alike the opportunity to traverse the digital halls of the bank, facilitating communication and interaction, and fostering a seamless banking experience, regardless of location or time zone.
Housing Bank’s foray into the metaverse underscores its commitment to infusing cutting-edge technology into the banking industry to enhance customer relationship management.
To launch this initiative, Housing Bank has partnered with Innoarea, a specialized entity renowned for creating immersive virtual reality and augmented reality experiences.
With this experience, Housing Bank follows in the footsteps of other pioneering financial institutions. In the past months, Punjab National Bank (PNB) unveiled “PNB Metaverse,” a virtual branch aimed at redefining the banking experience for its clients. Likewise, Mizuho Bank unveiled plans for “Metaverse Coin,” a bespoke payment service tailored explicitly for the metaverse, in June.
In 2022, DBS Bank collaborated with The Sandbox to introduce its own metaverse experience, with a resolute focus on illustrating the significance of constructing a more sustainable and improved world.
During the same year, Sygnum Bank embarked on its own metaverse journey, primarily aiming to educate the community about innovative financial products and the future landscape of finance.
