KEY POINTS
Immutable, a company specializing in crypto assets and gaming, has reported two significant milestones this month — its Immutable Passport has surpassed 1 million signups, and its Web3 gaming ecosystem now boasts over 800,000 monthly active users.
The Immutable Passport, which launched in October 2023, is a non-custodial wallet and authentication tool. It allows users to access all games and marketplaces powered by Immutable, enabling their assets, funds, and achievements to move with them across different gaming experiences.
In just seven months, the Immutable Passport has reached over 1 million signups, marking an increase of 600,000 new users in a single month since it hit 400,000 signups in April.
This growth has also positively impacted the Immutable Web3 gaming ecosystem, which has seen over 800,000 active users this month alone, according to a recent post by Immutable on X (formerly Twitter).
Looking ahead, Immutable is poised for further expansion, as the company has announced plans to launch over 60 new games in the next nine months.
Founded in 2018, Immutable has quickly established itself as a key player in the Web3 space. The company has secured over $300 million in funding, including a $200 million round in 2022 with contributions from Temasek, Tencent, and Animoca Brands.
Immutable’s rapid growth is also due to several strategic partnerships. In January, Immutable teamed up with Endless Clouds to launch two NFT-based battle games — Treeverse and Capsule Heroes — on Ethereum’s zkEVM.
In October 2023, Immutable partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to validate cloud data on the Ethereum blockchain, a move aimed at advancing and popularizing Web3 gaming.
Additionally, Immutable’s layer-2 scaling solution, ImmutableX, which provides NFT infrastructure on the Ethereum blockchain, has been adopted by companies like Metaverse Game Studios and Habbo for their Web3 projects.
