Gamefam, a popular metaverse game developer, recently unveiled its annual report, spotlighting remarkable achievements in the backdrop of a flourishing Web3 landscape.
In a press release issued on December 14, Gamefam presented its first “State of Brands in Metaverse Gaming” report. The report underscores 2023 as Gamefam’s most successful year, with a 35% YoY revenue growth, a workforce exceeding 200 employees, and a portfolio of over 30 owned and operated games.
This year, Gamefam solidified its status as a leading metaverse developer, amassing 29 billion sessions, 28 million daily game sessions within 12 months, and 128 million monthly hours of gameplay over the past year.
Crafting virtual experiences on popular metaverse platforms such as Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft, Gamefam released notable titles on Roblox, including Sonic Speed Simulator, Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Tycoon, all securing top positions.
Established in 2019, Gamefam swiftly emerged as a metaverse game development pioneer. In 2022, it successfully secured a $25 million series A funding round led by Konvoy Ventures. Over the years, the company has collaborated with industry giants such as Disney, Hugo Boss, and Warner Music Group, among others.
Reflecting on the outstanding outcomes of 2023, Joe Ferencz, CEO and Founder of Gamefam, anticipates an even more promising 2024. “The era of metaverse marketing is upon us, and in 2024, the competition among brands on Roblox and Fortnite will reach unprecedented levels,” he affirmed.
