The non-fungible token (NFT) project Doodles is once again extending its presence into the physical world, this time through a collaboration with MNTGE, a vintage clothing brand that integrates blockchain technology into its garments.
As per a post shared on X (Twitter) on March 29, the two projects have united for the launch of upcycled vintage painter’s jackets. These jackets feature patches bearing the Doodles and MNTGE logos, alongside Doodles’ distinctive characters and symbols, such as flowers.
Each jacket is accompanied by a limited edition Doodles x MNTGE wearable. Incorporating NFC technology, the jackets enable owners to scan for ownership certification and access options to claim the corresponding digital wearable.
The release is slated for April 4, 2024, at Gray Projects, the independent design studio headed by creative director Billy Gray.
This collaboration marks another instance of Doodles teaming up with brands to bring NFT-themed physical products to market. Just last month, it collaborated with Casio to unveil a G-Shock physical watch accompanied by an NFT counterpart. In August 2023, the project partnered with Crocs for limited-edition physical Classic Clogs and NFTs.
Doodles, launched in 2021, originated as a collection of 10,000 NFTs featuring cartoonish characters with unique traits and colorful backgrounds. Since its inception, the project has garnered significant popularity, boasting nearly 400,000 followers on X.
According to CoinMarketCap data, Doodles currently ranks tenth in the top-ten list of collections by sales volume, boasting a total volume of 338,398 ETH, approximately $1.2 billion, with a floor price of 1.89 ETH, or roughly $6,700.
