NFT project Doodles has announced a collaboration with Rubik’s, the company behind the iconic 3D puzzle, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Together, they will release limited-edition versions of the cube and digital collectibles.
The collaboration introduces a series of packs called “Crack Packs.” Buyers have the chance to get rare digital wearables, limited edition pastel and holo Rubik’s Cubes, and even a 1/1 twenty-carat Diamond Rubik’s Cube designed by renowned jeweler Elliott Eliantte.
The Crack Packs are available for purchase until 12 p.m. ET on September 20. Each pack costs $4.99, with bundle options ranging from $8.49 to $374.99. Payment can be made via credit or debit card, or cryptocurrency.
Opening of the packs is set for 4 p.m. ET on September 20, and the redemption window will close on October 18 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
As part of the collaboration, Doodles has also introduced “The Legend of The Rubikron,” a Rubik-themed digital comic that serves as a prequel to Captain Stoke’s adventures in Dullsville and the Doodleverse. The comic will be released on September 23.
This partnership follows a trend for Doodles, which has collaborated with several well-known brands outside the NFT space. In August, it teamed up with Adidas to launch limited-edition apparel packs featuring exclusive items inspired by Pharrell Williams’ Deysi digital mascot.
Earlier in the year, Doodles partnered with MNTGE to create NFT-themed vintage jackets, and in February, it collaborated with Casio to introduce a G-Shock NFT watch designed by Burnt Toast. Another notable partnership in 2023 was with Crocs, where they released limited-edition physical Classic Clog shoes alongside NFTs.
