Nintendo’s third-party video game company, Atari, has announced a partnership with artist Butcher Billy for the launch of its “50 Years of Atari” non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
The collection includes 2,600 one-of-a-kind generative fine art NFT posters based on 15 original works by Butcher Billy.
In conjunction with the collection, Atari is releasing Room 133, a free metaverse experience that recreates a classified engineering room from Atari’s first headquarters. Inside Room 133, players may discover hints and Easter eggs regarding future NFT releases, learn about additional Atari X initiatives and partnerships, and even get access to rewards and special experiences.
The website is linked to a free interactive hotline, 1-888-ATARI50, that provides visitors with tips on how to explore Room 133.
Atari is committed to returning over $500,000 in value to NFT holders and the community through different activations and holder-only rewards.
For example, Atari will reward NFT holders with Sandbox Season 3 Alpha Passes and has worked with Unstoppable Domains to provide a $100 credit that may be redeemed once per NFT (2600). In addition, all NFT holders will have access to holder-only discord channels, web3 alpha, and enable list opportunities with Atari’s partners.
