Five months after submitting a trademark application to enter the metaverse, Taco Bell has finally announced its Web3 initiative.
As part of the project, couples around the U.S. will be able to enter for a chance to win the brand’s first-ever virtual legal and metaverse wedding package.
In an immersive and unique event, Taco Bell builds upon its five-year history of marriages at its Las Vegas Cantina wedding chapel. Taco Bell’s Las Vegas Cantina launched wedding packages in 2017 and has since legally married 777 couples.
In an innovative move, Taco Bell is now inviting couples to enter to win the first-ever metaverse wedding.

From August 25 to September 6, couples can apply to tie the knot in the virtual metaverse wedding by completing a registration form and submitting a video detailing their unique love story, desire to be married in the metaverse, and passion for Taco Bell through Taco Bell’s metaverse wedding website.
As soon as a couple has been selected, Taco Bell will work closely with them to create a truly unique and unforgettable wedding experience. This one-of-a-kind Taco Bell metaverse wedding, where a soon-to-be-named designer collaborated on wedding apparel as well as choosing a noteworthy officiant to celebrate the legal union, will be a proper synthesis of long-held traditions and forward-thinking as Web3 re-energizes the wedding culture.
