In a swift and resounding response from the NFT community, the first NFTs stemming from the collaborative venture between Adidas and Moncler were all claimed in less than 24 hours.
A week ago, Adidas and Moncler unveiled their innovative campaign, “The Art of Explorers,” which aimed to merge the worlds of fashion, NFTs, and AI-generated art.
The campaign shone a spotlight on the concept of exploration as a shared symbol of human achievement, and the NFT associated with this initiative embodied this theme.
Dubbed “The Explorer,” the NFT features an animated blue mountain boot adorned with blue and red neon lights — presented as a digital collectible that can evolve within the Adidas Web3 ecosystem.
Minted on the Ethereum blockchain, a total of 3,000 NFT boots were made available for free on October 5. According to an announcement shared by ALTS by Adidas’ X account, all NFT boots were claimed by October 6 — less than 24 hours from release.
The campaign’s dedicated webpage underscores the exclusivity of this release, labeling it as “the collaboration’s most limited product” and hinting at the potential for future NFT drops.
This NFT drop was featured within Adidas ALTS, the brand’s “Into the Metaverse” initiative, which was initially introduced in April and marked its debut with the ALTS NFT launch.
Beyond this venture and Adidas’ ongoing involvement in NFT initiatives, the brand recently introduced “Residency,” its inaugural Web3 program designed to empower NFT artists.
Moncler has also previously explored the NFT space. In October 2022, the fashion house celebrated its 70th anniversary with seven NFTs created in collaboration with digital artist Antoni Tudisco and the Web3 platform Arianee.
