Italian high-end luxury fashion brand Gucci will begin accepting cryptocurrency as a means of payment at its US stores.
The cryptocurrency accepted will be Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
Later this month, the service will be accessible at several of its major locations, including Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and Wooster Street in New York.
Customers who pay with cryptocurrencies at stores will receive an email with a QR code to use with their digital asset wallet.
Gucci is the latest major company to embrace cryptocurrency and provide crypto enthusiasts with additional purchasing options.
Microsoft, AMC, Tesla, AT&T, and Starbucks are among the world’s most well-known companies that currently accept digital currencies.
Gucci also took a move into the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in January, when it launched its “SuperGucci” NFT Collection in partnership with Superplastic.
