Starbucks’ non-fungible token (NFT)-based loyalty program, Starbucks Odyssey, is elevating its rewards by granting an all-expenses-paid journey to Costa Rica for its most devoted and engaged members.
In a recent update on its Discord channel, Starbucks unveiled its plans for the upcoming year, featuring an exclusive trip to Costa Rica. This opportunity is reserved for eligible members who, on January 1, 2024, accumulate the highest Odyssey points.
While Starbucks has confirmed covering the expenses for the flight, hotel, and activities, further details about the trip will be revealed in the coming weeks exclusively to qualifying members.
This incentive is part of Starbucks’ broader program extension slated for the upcoming year. Additionally, Starbucks is set to launch the “2023 Starbucks Odyssey Achievement Collection,” offering members a head start on Odyssey points for the year.
This development aligns with Starbucks’ ongoing venture into Web3, initiated in December 2022 with the introduction of the Odyssey program. Throughout 2023, Starbucks released NFT Stamps, with the first collection selling out in just 20 minutes. In October, the company marked the 20th anniversary of the Pumpkin Spice Latte with “The PLS Collection.”
In a more recent move, Starbucks Korea introduced an eco-sustainable NFT initiative a few days ago, promoting the use of personal cups. Scheduled to launch in January 2024, this program offers Eco Stamps for NFT redemption.
