Shiba Inu, the Ethereum-based meme coin, has provided further details regarding its metaverse project “SHIB: the metaverse.”
One of the newly revealed details pertains to “Rocket Pond,” which is one of the eleven featured hub locations in Shiba’s virtual world. Shiba shared preliminary black-and-white sketches of this hub back in September 2022.
The latest hub boasts a concealed resort nestled within mountains and serves as the starting point for Shiba Inu’s journey and storyline.
Its design draws inspiration from several picturesque sites in the United States and Russia — including Cape Canaveral, Monument to the Conquerors of Space, Lake Tahoe, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, and Heavenly Village.
The experience ideas surrounding this hub include activities such as alpine coaster, fly fishing, tubing, trail hiking, camping, hidden waterfalls, and other nature-related activities.
In April 2023, the project’s creators revealed that SHIB: The Metaverse will partially open to its users by the end of 2023, providing them with the opportunity to explore the virtual world. However, not all virtual areas will be accessible or completed by then. In the same month, Shiba Inu launched a new, dedicated Twitter account for its metaverse project.
