Shiba Inu revealed more about its “Shib the Metaverse” project at SXSW 2023, a conference hosted in Austin, TX that focuses on the tech, music, and film industries.
During the event, Shiba Inu representatives introduced WAGMI Temple, the first hub to be released in Shib the Metaverse. This virtual place will be centered on wellness and health, with a peaceful setting featuring a temple surrounded by water and other elements that evoke harmony.
Visitors at SXSW 2023 could put on VR headsets, enter Shib The Metaverse, and choose between two experiences: meditation in the WAGMI hub or a tour in the health and wellness hub.
Shib the Metaverse, which was initially revealed in late January 2021, promises to provide the community with an immersive and dynamic experience in which all tokens — SHIB, LEASH, BONE, and SHIBOSHIS — will play a significant role.
The metaverse has 100,595 lands that will be unlocked throughout time; 36,431 lands will be exposed during the first introductory phase, with just 32,124 available for purchase.
The WAGMI Temple’s revelation coincided with the release of the first beta test of the Shibarium Network, known as PUPPYNET. This is a low-cost layer 2 blockchain that will power Shib the Metaverse and can be employed to develop decentralized apps (DApps), connect with real-world businesses, and power initiatives.
These two stages are only a small fraction of the actions and collaborations Shiba Inu has made to expand its ecosystem; for example, it recently worked with Bugatti to release the “Shiboshis Club X Bugatti Group” NFT collection, which sold out in less than two minutes.
