Shiba Inu has revealed a strategic partnership with former professional boxer Manny Pacquiao, also known as PacMan.
The partnership involves incorporating SHIB’s Layer 2 blockchain, Shibarium, into the functions of the Manny Pacquiao Foundation. It also entails releasing a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and raising awareness to encourage people to contribute crypto donations in support of the Foundation’s charitable initiatives.
Established in 2019 by Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao, the Manny Pacquiao Foundation embodies Manny’s commitment to giving back and helping those in need in the Philippines.
Shibarium will be used by the Foundation to enhance the efficiency and transparency of its activities, including the tracking of fundraising, donations, and fund distribution.
The collaboration also introduces “Manny x Shiba” NFT magazine covers, with 3,000 units available for free. This launch follows the recent debut of “The Shib,” a first edition magazine cover that featured 1,000 NFTs, all of which were minted within 24 hours of release.
While all NFTs are accessible for free, individuals have the option to contribute various cryptocurrencies, including $Shib, and fiat to support the Foundation’s projects.
This marks another instance of Shiba Inu fostering collaborations within the Web3 space.
Notably, in January, Shiba Inu partnered with Bugatti to launch the “Shiboshis Club X Bugatti Group” NFT collection, selling out in under two minutes. Additionally, in 2022, Shiba Inu collaborated with John Richmond for the introduction of an NFT-based fashion collection.
