Otherworld, a virtual reality theme park renowned for its VR encounters, has revealed its newest venture — an immersive Christmas party metaverse experience.
Situated in London, this festive encounter boasts a virtual snow-themed landscape. Throughout December, visitors can accumulate Double DreamCoin, the exclusive virtual currency of Otherworld that can be used to secure discounts on real-world beverages.
The Christmas experience unfolds in “Ghoston Gala,” a virtual winter village teeming with penguins. It offers classic mini-games like Arizona Sunshine, a zombie survival first-person shooter, as well as tree-swinging adventures and the exploration of ancient secrets.
The Christmas-themes experience is accessible at three distinct London locations — Victoria, Any, and Hackney.
Currently, Otherworld features a total of 16 VR experiences, including popular titles such as Fruit Ninja, Cook-Out, and Labyrinthine.
Major corporations like Disney, Monzo, and Google have previously leveraged Otherworld for their VR initiatives.
This isn’t the first instance of bringing Christmas celebrations to the metaverse for a more immersive experience. Earlier this month, companies like L’Occitane En Provence and Bloomingdale’s introduced Christmas-themed virtual stores, enabling customers to engage in festive shopping within the metaverse.
