Following up on its Web3 journey, Puma has decided to commemorate its 75th anniversary by launching a new non-fungible token (NFT) collection dubbed “Super Puma.”
The collection includes 10,000 NFTs, the price and mint date of which are still unknown.
4,000 NFTs will be airdropped for free to Puma’s Nitro Collection NFT holders. The Nitro Collection — an incubator project for Puma’s product team — includes NFTs that are the digital twins of the physical NFRNO and Fastroid sneakers.
Unlike the Nitro collection, which focuses on products, the Super Puma collection will emphasize storytelling, narrative, and community engagement.
Comic books, plush, inter-brand products, and collaborations will be among the utilities embedded within the Super Puma NFTs.
Puma’s Discord announcement channel mentioned the company will share updates on the new NFT project there and on Twitter.
This initiative marks another step forward for Puma in the Web3 world; the experience began last year, when it registered the domain name “Puma.eth” with ENS and bought feline-themed NFTs.
In September, the company debuted its “Black Station” metaverse experience in honor of its FUTROGRADE show at New York Fashion Week.
