OREO kicks off the new year with two exciting announcements: the debut of “The Most OREO,” a limited-edition cookie, and its foray into the metaverse with “OREOVERSE.”
The OREO virtual world, which is hosted on Meta Horizon Worlds — Meta’s own social VR metaverse — allows users to explore, play cookie-themed games, and win money prizes.
Among the games are “Stack Stuf,” which challenges fans to create the new limited-edition cookie, “Rocket Stuf,” which involves inflating the cookie, and a labyrinth in which players must survive while avoiding Oreo cream balls.
The metaverse venture was launched in partnership with Martha Stewart — an American retail businesswoman, long-time OREO brand lover, and homemaking icon.
Fans can join OREOVERSE by scanning the QR code imprinted on The Most OREO packages or by directly entering the website via mobile, desktop, or virtual reality using their Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headsets.
