NYX Professional Makeup has announced the launch of the first non-fungible token (NFT) collection created as part of GORJS, the world’s first beauty DAO.
The collection, dubbed “Dream Vortex,” was created by a group of nine selected artists, each of whom created a unique vision of a new age of beauty.
Dream Vortex includes 4,150 unique NFTs depicting 3D avatars with the most diverse looks.
The sale will consist of NFT passes, which customers eventually need to burn in order to disclose and get their 3D avatar. The mint phase will be carried out on the OpenSea NFT marketplace on April 27, 2023.
NYX Professional Makeup is also collaborating with important Web3 players to enhance the Dream Vortex NFT collection. Among them are The Sandbox, Polygon, QuestN, Infinite Objects, Hologram, and Rory Rockmore jewelry, which will contribute to the NFTs having distinct features (such as body parts, eyes, makeup, hair, and clothing) and utility.
NYX Professional Makeup first introduced the GORJS DAO in June 2022, with the goal of fostering the expansion of the 3D artist community and its shifting approach to makeup in the metaverse. The company announced the release of the NFT Passes branded “FKWME Pass” in January to provide access to the DAO.
NYX Professional Makeup has demonstrated significant dedication to exploring the possibilities of Web3 and metaverse ventures.
Alongside its GORJS DAO, the company has unveiled its “House of NYX Professional Makeup” metaverse initiative to present its upcoming makeup collection in December 2022. Additionally, in May 2022, it made a groundbreaking debut in the metaverse by organizing the first-ever virtual meta-pride parade.
