After revealing its beauty DAO “GORJS” in June, NYX Professional Makeup has now launched NFT passes that will give access to it.
The NFTs are dubbed FKWME Pass, with FKWME standing for “F*ck With Me” — a colloquial expression that means “get with me.” Similarly, GORJS hopes that those who purchase the NFT passes share its same vision of redefining beauty in the metaverse.
The passes will be minted on the Ethereum blockchain and sold in a limited edition of 1,000 for 0.19 ETH (roughly $250) each.
The pre-mint will be held at the end of the month, on January 31, 2023, and the public sale will take place on February 1, 2023.
FKWME pass holders will have access to airdrops of artists and will get around one airdropped NFT every quarter.
Aside from that, holders will gain governance power within GORJS, including voting rights regarding airdrops and allowlists from leading NFT creators.
Participants in the primary sale will also get an initial GORJS token — with a total supply of 100 million — which they can use to vote on artist submissions and reserve allowlist spots for the minting of participating creators’ NFTs.
GORJS — the world’s first beauty DAO — seeks to promote the 3D artist community by serving as a decentralized incubator with the mission of defining the future of digital beauty by integrating makeup in the metaverse and supporting the ideals of diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility.
NYX has already taken many steps in that direction through the launch of various initiatives; last month, it introduced its newest metaverse initiative, “House of NYX Professional Makeup,” to present its 2023 makeup collection, while last May it entered the metaverse with a first-of-its-kind virtual meta-pride parade.
